About · the desk behind the form

A shop page that shows its arithmetic.

maksfs keeps eighteen published cabin frames on file and runs every case on its shelf against all of them. The point is not to sell you a bag; it is to stop you buying one that a gate agent will refuse in front of a queue.

The publisher

maksfs is an independent shop page published from Kuala Lumpur by Maksfs, at 70 Jalan Kilang Midah, Taman Midah, Cheras. It is not an airline, a travel agency, an airport operator or a customs authority, and it holds no agency for any carrier whose rules appear here.

The page earns its keep through the Amazon Associates programme. Outbound product links carry a tag; a completed order pays a commission out of Amazon's margin. That is the whole business model, and it is why no payment field exists anywhere on the site.

Which eighteen carriers, and why those

The schedule covers the airlines that carry most of the traffic out of Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching and Senai: the AirAsia group, Malaysia Airlines, Firefly, Batik Air, the Singapore pair of Scoot and Singapore Airlines, Jetstar Asia, Thai AirAsia, the Vietnamese pair of VietJet and Vietnam Airlines, the Philippine pair of Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines, Garuda, and four long-haul carriers that Malaysian travellers connect onto — Emirates, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines and Cathay Pacific.

A carrier makes the list when it publishes a measurable frame. Airlines that describe a bag in words without printing three numbers are left out rather than guessed at, because a guess is worse than a dash.

How a case earns a place on the shelf

Three gates. The listing has to publish the three sides, because a bag without measurements cannot be tested. At least one carrier on the schedule has to accept it in a slot a passenger actually uses — a bag that fits nothing is not a bargain, it is a checked bag. And the buyer rating has to be readable, so the shelf is not a wall of unrated stock.

The stamp on each plate is the number of carriers that accept the bag as it stands, main cabin box or personal item, whichever it fits. The arithmetic is the same four-line comparison described on the measuring page.

What the page cannot promise

A published frame is a policy, and policies move. Fares, routes and fare families all change what a carrier will accept on a given day, and the booking is the document that settles it. The schedule is dated October 2026 so you can see how old the reading is.

Prices are Singapore dollars from Amazon.sg, captured when the sheet was built. Delivery, tax and conversion are calculated by Amazon at checkout and are outside anything this page can show.

If a carrier you fly is missing, or a figure has moved, write to [email protected] with the page you were reading. Corrections are made against the carrier's own published page, not against a forum post.

What is on the shelves today

14 cabin cases and 16 kit items, all listed from Amazon.sg. The case shelf carries the measured items, the cabin kit the rest.
